Martin Sellner is a keen observer of political events in the USA – not only because his wife Brittany is American. This is evident, for example, in his article „Der Multi-Kulti-Koenig: Trump und die Migranten“ in the current February issue of COMPACT (in German).
Sellner’s Review
With profound interest, Sellner has read our first US Edition with the cover story “Super!!! How Elon Musk Fights Tyranny in Europe”. It primarily features English translations of articles from our current German February issue, (“Super!!! Warum Elon Musk auf Deutschlands Zukunft setzt”).
However, there are significant differences: Articles with too much focus on German issues have been replaced by those that appeal to an international audience. And there’s an entirely new dossier: “The German President”. We have a look at Donald Trump’s family history, explore his German roots, and tell the amazing story of German emigrants in America.

Greetings from Austria, my name is Martin Sellner. I’m an activist, author, and writer, and one of the magazines I write for is the COMPACT Magazine, the biggest German patriotic magazine. I have a monthly column in it, and for the first time, one edition of COMPACT is now available in English.
And with this, the chief Editor-in-Chief of COMPACT, Juergen Elsaesser, is reacting to the change that is taking place in America. You can see it on the cover: Elon Musk is a very big part of this change. A few facts about COMPACT: It sells 40,000 copies every month; COMPACT-TV is one of the biggest alternative media in Germany. 500,000 subscribers, millions of views, and their growing young team, especially led by Paul Klemm, and also Dr. Stephanie Elsassser. COMPACT is in my opinion one of the most important powerhouses of alternative patriotic media in Germany.
What is COMPACT? And who is Juergen Elsaesser?
As a disclaimer: I write for the magazine myself, and I have a year-long friendship with Juergen Elsaessser; and I especially appreciate that it’s okay to be dissenting with him sometimes – so sometimes we have different opinions on various issues, and then we even can lead open debates in this magazine, that’s great.
But before we go into the new US Edition, a few more words to Juergen and the COMPACT Magazine: You might have heard about the raid against COMPACT that took place in summer 2024. Juergen was woken up by police, german raid police, they stormed his house which is also the headquarter of the magazine.
They took away all, the chairs and tables. The Minister of Interior wanted to ban COMPACT Magazine, for what actually there was no incitement to violence, nothing, just because they don’t like the magazine, they claimed it’s populist and it spreads conspiracy theories.
Juergen has a very interesting biography; he also has written a book about it because he started his political career in the German left, the German hard left, in communist groups, then he was in the anti-imperialistic left movement, and with the Balkan War and 9/11 he had his awakening as a German patriot, which is now a few decades ago.
And since then he’s a driving force of a populist patriotic German right, very much involved in the Covid protests, and everywhere actually there’s a protest going on; when people are hitting the streets, COMAPCT isn’t far away. If you want to know who Juergen Elsaesser is, just take Alex Jones and then put also the political strategy and understanding of Stephen Bannon, and very strong and deep theoretically ideological background in it, and obviously finish it with a big, big dose of patriotism and German perspective – that’s Juergen Elsaesser. I personally really like his work and his view; they’re always provocative, they always try to get the bigger picture, and this is exactly with what we’re going to start this little review of the US Edition.
A New Era
You see all on these 66 pages of the COMPACT US Edition, the end on page 66, that’s me, that’s my column. At the beginning, Juergen is already presenting his vision – or better his estimation – for the coming years. He thinks it’s going to be a new era of imperialism which is better than the global ‚one world‘ we had before.
Trump will create a Greater America with Canada and Greenland. He will accept that Russia also consolidates its power with parts of Ukraine and maybe Transnistria. Hethinks Israel will create a Greater Israel, Turkey will create a Greater Turkey, and China maybe will even be allowed toconsolidate its power sphere. The big question, of course, is how will the what will Europe do under these circumstances and where will Europe be left when all these big empires start creating their spheres of influence.
This question is directly linked to Elon Musk’s election interference, as our opponents call it, and Juergen, me and Naomi Seibt, who has an interview in the US Edition „Super!!! How Elon Musk Fights Tyranny in Europe“, see more clearly what Musk is doing. He’s creating an even play field in Europe by enabling more freedom of speech.
Musk, Milei, and Meloni
There are many important articles in that US Edition of COMPACT exploring Musk’s relations to Milei, and Meloni, his influence and his effects on the AfD. Obviously, there can’t be a report about Musk without mentioning Mars but also of course the memesphere. Behind and around Musk is being analyzed and reviewed here, so a big part of this English-language COMPACT Magazine is that there are some young writers and they always analyze everything what’s going on in pop culture and with memes. Very interesting!
And then an article, maybe provoking for American readers, and here you can clearly see also the ideological formation of Juergen Elsaesser. He’s criticizing the economic-driven wars of the United States, and he presents a thesis why he thinks that, with or without Trump, the military-industrial complex will stay in power in the United States.
But going to the positive side, Trump is a president who definitely has German roots. He once even said he’s proud of his German blood. Good stuff! And, of course, in this English edition of COMPACT, there’s a big emphasis and focus on these German roots of President Trump. The “King of Kallstadt” is researching and presenting the roots of the Trump’s family in Germany, and how they emigrated to the United States.
And a broader perspective: “Schurz, Strauss, and Studebaker” is honoring the contributions of Germany to American culture. You’ve probably guessed it: A big part of this are beers. That’s a big German contribution to any kind of culture.
UFOs, Tradwives, and Turncoats
I’ve already mentioned pop culture before. Even para-sciences are covered in COMPACT. In the US Edition „Super!!! How Elon Musk Fights Tyranny in Europe“ Timo Beil writes about the drone phenomenon over America and he’s drawing a parallel to the “Aliens over Nuremberg”, an event that happened in Germany in 1560. There were many, many eyewitnesses who saw something going on, what could be described as a battle of spaceships over the sky of Nuremberg. Very interesting!
Michael Kumpmann – we’re now in the more cultural part of the US Edition – is exploring the new trend of so-called Tradwives. He does it critically, questioning the authenticity of this trend.
At the end, I also have a place in this magazine. I write about the “Time of Turncoats” – all the people now suddenly talking about migration, from Starmer to Trudeau to Soeder, a German politician from the CSU, which is like the RINO GOP, is reproducing the Donald Trump stunt. And I focus on the dangers of this development as these grifters are trying now to steal our ideas, but also on the chances, because obviously it’s a process of normalization of the critique of mass migration, and therefore remigration.
In Tune With The Times
There are many other interesting articles, for example about the almost-coup that was taking place in South Korea. And also an article about “Syria’s Fragile Peace”. You can see a lot of different articles. But I want to cut it here because I think you should read all of this yourself, if you’re interested.
COMPACT is definitely very important in the germanosphere, if you want to understand what’s going on. In Germany, it’s definitely very good to read this magazine because it’s covering everything that’s going on in Germany.
